Warmly welcoming you to the Couples For Christ (CFC) South Chapter Western Australia
Serving the southern suburbs of Perth, our chapter is a dynamic blend of families and individuals dedicated to nurturing faith and community. Here, we grow together in love and service, rooted in our commitment to Christ and His Church.
OUR STORY
CFC Western Australia South Chapter
The South Chapter of CFC WA began as the Gosnells Unit in May 2011, under the heartfelt service of Bro. Jay Cabrera and his wife Perla. The Cabrera family, who joined CFC in 2002, brought their dedication from New Zealand to our community here in WA.
In June 2015, the unit was officially recognized as the South Chapter, with Bro. Kit Palos and his wife Ruchelle guiding us with their passion and commitment. Today, the chapter is joyfully led by Bro. Roland Ablaza and his wife Cherry. The Ablaza family, who have been part of CFC since 1997 and served in the Philippines for 15 years, moved to Western Australia in 2010 and continue to enrich our community with their loving leadership.
OUR PROGRAMS
CFC Western Australia
The two-fold mission of CFC are Building the Home and Church of the Poor. Work for building the Church of the Poor is integral in our mission. The global mission states that “We shall pursue Total Christian Liberation through social justice, respect for life and work with the poor. We are called to love the poor as exemplified by Christ and we are called to be a caring community with one heart and one mind.”
Building the Church of the poor emanates from the Social Teachings of the Church and will be strengthened by the new formation teachings that will guide our posture towards our work for Total Christian Liberation. The programs are tools and ways for members of CFC to grow in loving the poor as Christ did.
Answering the Cry of the Poor
When you donate to CFC ANCOP Australia, your donation goes towards funding our three programs. Our program beneficiaries are located in four countries: Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu.
Christian Life Program
The CLP is an integrated course intended to lead the program participants into a renewed understanding of God’s call to them as Christian couples. It runs for several sessions usually held once a week for 5-6 weeks. Most sessions consist of three basic ingredients: a teaching, a group discussion, and a time for fellowship.
